Wine Tour in Northern Rhône
In this tour, we invite you to discover the best wines of the Rhône Valley. First visit at Tain-l'Hermitage, where we are going to sample, in the company of Marc Sorrel, the glorious red and white wines of the prestigious hill of Hermitage.
At noon, we can have lunch in a typical, local restaurant or a friendly picnic at the foot of the chapel which overlooks the vineyard, on top of the hill.
Then we drive north to Ampuis, home of the world famous Côte-Rôtie. With René Rostaing, we shall enjoy two of the priciest wines of the slope, the rich and beautiful Landonne and the rare and delicate Côte Blonde.
After Ampuis, we drive to Condrieu, the next village, where the wine, from viognier varietal, is white. André Perret will pour us an intense, voluptuous Condrieu, together with his delicious red Saint-Joseph.
According to the availability of the winegrowers, we also visit Bernard Gripa in Mauves, Chapoutier in Tain-l'Hermitage, Guigal in Ampuis and Yves Cuilleron in Chavanay.
