Visiting the Top Wineries
Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the best wine of Provence. In richness and in complexity, it compares with the greatest wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy. A very small amount of white wine is produced; to taste it once in your life is a sign of luck.
In this tour, we visit one domaine in the morning and two in the afternoon. In each winery, we visit the vineyard, the cellars and we sample five different wines. Our guide Joel Corre, professor of oenology, will teach you the technique of professional wine tasting.
At noon, we can have lunch in a typical, local restaurant or a friendly picnic at the foot of the Pope's castle, on top of the hill, with a wonderful view of the Rhône Valley.
